Historic 30-Min Maps

The USGS 30-minute map series features the earliest USGS topographic maps. The four maps shown have dates of 1892, 1894, or 1902. Just select a highlighted quadrangle. This takes you to the map download page where thumbnails of each map available are shown for download.

The 30-minute map series at a scale of 1:125,000 (1 inch = approximately 2 miles) has been abandoned. The USGS 7.5-minute topographic quadrangle map series is the official USGS quadrangle series. To obtain 7.5-minute topographic quadrangles visit the USGS Store.
